ABOUT OUR TEAMS

Let me tell you a little about us! We have three squads that cheer in the fall. The Freshmen Squad cheers for all Freshmen Football games, the JV Squad cheers for all JV Football games, and the Varsity Squad cheers for all Varsity Football games. All three of these squads also travel to all away games. In the Winter we also have three squads. The Freshmen Squad cheers for all Freshmen Boys and Girls Basketball home games, this squad does not travel to away games. The JV Squad cheers for all home JV Boys Basketball, JV Girls Basketball, and JV Wrestling games/matches. This squad also does not travel to away games. The Varsity Squad cheers for all home Varsity Boys Basketball, Varsity Girls Basketball, and Varsity Wrestling games/matches. This squad travels to away games at Rolla, Lebanon, and Camdenton (these are the three closest towns to us). This squad also travels to all Conference, District, and State tournaments for all three teams.

For tryouts we are looking for coordination, timing, and execution of motions and jumps. We are also assessing the potential cheerleader's ability to learn and perform a dance routine (we will teach this at clinics), the ability to learn and perform both a cheer and a chant (we will teach these at clinics), and the ability to choreograph and perform cheers and chants to words that we give. We are looking for overall spirit and showmanship as well. Tumbling skills are not a requirement, but we do give bonus points for tumbling at tryouts.
