In a makeup match from March 27th, the Waynesville Tiger Golf Team played a triangular match against Jefferson City and Belle today. The Tigers fought hard, but lost to the Jays 214-173. Belle HS finished 3rd with a score of 233. This marks the Tigers first opponent they have beaten in this young season. They now have 1 win vs 3 losses.

The Tigers were led, once again, by Junior standout Wade Howser, who carded a 42 on his way to his second consecutive team medalist honors. The match medalist was Gabe Trowbridge of the Jefferson City Jays. He shot a low round of 37.

I am very pleased with our progress as the Varsity cut 21 strokes off of it's last match after getting Junior Jacob Morriss back from an illness. Freshman Fred Boone continued with his solid play as he carded a 61. Other Varsity scores were Morriss 50, Austin Adams 68, and James Richardson 61.

The Junior Varsity also made very positive progress as they too cut 12 strokes off of their last match score, but lost to the Jays 254-221. Belle HS did not have a JV team. The JV team was led by Evan McWilliams with a personal best 62. Other scores were Dylan Reynolds 64, Kevin Barrett 69, John Pack 65, and Isaac Brooks 63.
