Waynesville's JV soccer team closed out its season on a high note Tuesday night, shutting out Ozark, 2-0, in a rain-shortened game at Tiger Stadium. It was sweet revenge for Waynesville, which had lost to Ozark earlier in tournament play. Robert Osborn put the Tigers up with goal at about the 17 minute mark and Brian Fields added the finale shortly before half. As the teams were taking their halftime break, a lightening storm erupted and the game was called. The JV Tigers finished with a 12-9-2 record, their fourth winning season in the last five years.
