Waynesville Tennis had another good night tonight with a win against the Richland Bulldogs, 7-2. The first two doubles teams took quick wins.  With the Tigers missing two key Varsity players tonight, Ricky Petitt and Jakob Miller stepped up from the JV roster to fill their shoes and play in that #3 doubles spot.  Down 0-6 in the start, Petitt and Miller proved their mental toughness and came back to win 5 straight games in a row before giving Richland their last game win of the night.  With the score at 5-7 and Richland only needing one more game for the win, the Petitt/Miller duo came as the stronger team, taking the next four game wins in a row and a 9-7 victory overall.  The Tigers have a very busy schedule next week with three nights of game play and Varsity playing in an all day tournament on Wednesday.  We're hoping to pack the house Monday night as we take on Helias Catholic at 4.
