Tiger Tennis put in a full day of play tonight, taking on both Parkview and Kickapoo at the Spfd Double Dual.  The Tigers have pushed their record to 9-2, beating Parkview 5-4 and falling to Kickapoo 0-8.  During the Parkview match, Robert Osborn quickly took his opponent 8-0 before joining up with temporary partner Ricky Petitt for a 8-1 doubles win.  David Lund and Brian Fields both played 2 hour long singles matches with David taking his opponent 8-6 and Brian coming up just short at 6-8.  During the Kickapoomatch, Waynesville was challenged much greater than they have been all season.  I was so proud of how the boys played in that match.  Although the score suggests an easy win for Kickapoo, that was definitely not the case.  My boys definitely put up a fight and played their best tennis yet, especially after being down a Varsity player and playing a 4 hour match just before.  Robert Osborn and Kyle Roberts both played fantastic singles matches and expanded on their tennis game far more than the rest of the season.  Doubles partners Brian Fields and John Parker also put up a good fight, leading their opponents for the first half of the match.  Despite the scores, many of these boys played a close tennis game, hitting deuce multiple times.  Kickapoo just seemed to pull out ahead.  

 

The Waynesville Invitational has been postponed until Saturday of this week with play beginning at 9 am.
