The Waynesville Tigers hit the courts again tonight for their second match of the season, falling short to Jeff City, 3-6. The Jays have always proven to be a strong team. Typically falling quick to Jeff City, we have ended 0-9 to this strong team for the past two years. We were excited to improve our score to 3-6 this year and play much closer games on each court. Although the score doesn’t always reflect it, each match tonight was a battle. Despite falling 0-8, #1 Tyler Gayman played a much closer match this year against his very strong Jay opponent.  Wilde had such great placement, keeping Waynesville’s Gayman on the defense most of the night. Tyler played him very strong, but unfortunately fell short in several deuce games. Caleb Andrews and Aarron Emperato both took wins tonight in singles after the Emperato/Berrios duo scored yet another doubles victory
