Waynesville shutout Columbia Battle 6-0 Saturday afternoon to claim first place in the Black Poll of the season-opening Waynesville Classic girls soccer tournament. Jessica Schellhase assisted twice on Camia Blash goals in the first half and then scored three of her own after intermission to conclude her big day. One of her goals was assisted by Elizabeth Sisson. The Spartans helped out the hosts with an own goal in the second half. Goalkeepers D'Anna Hasik and Ashton Pilz had an easy afternoon as the Tiger defense did not allow a shot on goal. Dubourg claimed second place in the Black Pool with a 10-0 whitewash of Battle. In the Orange Pool, Columbia Hickman and Camdenton both beat Fatima 10-0 and played each other to a 1-1 draw. Hickman edged Camdenton by one in the point system for first place.
