The old axiom warns to never corner a Tiger.  West Plains found itself in that position Saturday afternoon after Waynesville had already lost twice by a single goal in the West Plains Tournament.  Playing for dignity and pride in the seventh place game, the Tigers lashed out again and again to drub the Zizzers 10-0 on the mercy rule.  The Tigers fired 27 shots on West Plains, sixteen of them on-goal as they raced to the win.  Six different girls scored.  Jessica Schellhase scored three and both Haley Reckard and Camia Blash two to lead the route.  Alexis Willingham, Megan Craven, and Jazmyne Lockhart added single goals.  The girls used great teamwork as the assists showed.  Elizabeth Sisson had three, Craven one, Reckard one, and Kaley Caracci one.  Lockhart's goal with 3:06 remaining ended the game.  Hannibal, which lost the title game to Waynesville last year, beat Ozark 5-0 for first place.
