The Tigers played in their best match yet, just barely falling to Osage 4-5. I was impressed with the girls' intensity. They put their whole heart into this match and left everything they had on the court. They fought for each point and made their opponent work hard for that win. Randi Anderlik (sr.) and Mollie Henry (soph.) started the night off on the right foot with our only doubles win of the night. These girls make a great team and really work well together. The compliment each other well, have fun, and go for the win in every match. I'm super impressed with how quickly they've bonded and learned to communicate with each other. That's huge in doubles! In singles, we saw wins from Kaitlynn Wagner (jr.), Paige Massey (sr.), and Mollie Henry. Henry destroyed her opponent quickly with a 8-2 win. Massey's match was a different story, however. I really enjoyed watching this intense match. I've seen so much growth from Paige from last year. Her strokes are spot on and have gotten much more powerful this year. This long match was well fought out by both girls and each point was earned well. Wagner also had a great match last night. Kaitlynn is a very strong player. Her shots are highly accurate and each point is well thought out. She reads the court well and is getting much better at putting her opponent right where she wants her to end with a solid winner. Another great match was fought by Lindzie King (soph.). Jumping up three spots from last year to our #1 seed, Lindzie runs into some of the best players we meet all season. She has worked very hard during the off season, and it really showed in this match. Falling behind early in the game, Lindzie never gave up and came back, just barely falling 5-8.
