The Tigers won their fifth consecutive Rolla US Bank Holiday Invitational with a 70-58 victory over the fourth ranked host Bulldogs New Years Eve.  The Class Four Bulldogs and Class Five sixth-ranked Tigers put on a show for a full house that roared its approval at the exciting play.  After an extremely close first quarter, Waynesville gained a slight edge that it would never give up.  The Tigers’ Cedric Williams provided strong play on the boards, and when the Bulldogs began a third quarter run, Austin Bogle calmly hit a pair of treys from the left corner that ended their threat.  Juwan Morgan led the Tigers with 21.  Reggie Walker scored 19 and Williams 13.  Morgan and Joe Johnson were named to the all-tournament team. 

The Tigers reached the championship game for the seventh time in eight years by beating Warrensburg 60-39 to open the tournament and then surviving a determined Rogers-Heritage team 39-36 in the semifinals.  WHS is now nine and one on the season.  It will play Rolla  again in Ozark Conference action on Tuesday in Waynesville.
