WHS Waynesville outplayed Camdenton in every aspect during a big first half and went on to a 72-62 girls basketball win Tuesday at home. The win allowed the Lady Tigers to move ahead of Camdenton in the Ozark Conference. WHS is 3-2 while the Lakers slipped to 3-3.
Offensive production was the key to the game as four Lady Tigers scored in double figures. But WHS also excelled defensively and passed the ball very well to find the open shot. That combination allowed them to race to a 20-11 first quarter lead and a huge 40-17 advantage at halftime. Camdenton found its shot in the second half, but Waynesville continued to score when needed. Callie Bildner came up big during Camdenton's final effort. She scored five points as the game ran down and finished with a game high 30. RaShawna Stone continued her hot hand with 15 points while Bree Stoddard and Nina Kizzee added 11 and 10 respectively.
