The Tigers moved their Ozark Conference record to four and one Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over Springfield Parkview at Anderson Field. Both teams played a hard charging style of soccer with a lot of back and forth and little finesse. Waynesville took the lead in the sixteenth minute when Shane Jewett worked the ball into the left corner and placed a perfect cross to the foot of Caleb Rodriguez for the score and a 1-0 halftime lead. Just over three minutes into the second half Roberto Bachellor scored unassisted to go up 2-0. Parkview scored on a breakaway only fifty seconds later, but that would be it for the game. The win was Waynesville's 250th in varsity soccer since the program began in 1989. It also squared the record with Parkview with both teams having won eleven times against each other.
