A pair of seniors playing in their final home game, and on the turf at the all-new Tiger Stadium for the first time, scored in each half to lead the Tigers to a 2-1 win over Ozark Tuesday night. Shane Jewett and Logan Long gave fans something to remember them by; Jewett with 13:51 remaining in the first half and Long in the second minute of the second half. Long's goal was a header off of a corner kick from Vince Houston. The game was the first soccer contest to be played at the new stadium. A heavy rain prior to the game did not affect play noticeably because the turf field drained very well. Goal keeper Jon Moore had four saves, including two electrifying grabs within seconds of each other in the second half. In an historical sense, the Tigers have owned Ozark over the years. Tuesday's win was their eleventh in twelve games against the Christian County school. WHS finished its regular season with a solid 13 and nine record.
