Waynesville opened up the 2014 Kickapoo Soccer Tournament with a 1-0 win over Springfield Greenwood Friday afternoon at Pottenger Stadium.  Both teams struggled in the first half, but when the tempo picked up later the Tigers managed to score the lone goal and make it stand up for the win. 

Waynesville is in the Brown Division of the tournament, competing in round robin competition with Greenwood, Sikeston, and Carthage.  Sikeston began play with a 2-1 win over Carthage.
