The girls' junior varsity soccer team finished its season with a solid 3-1 victory at Springfield Catholic Wednesday evening. The win gives the JV a winning season at 6-5-1. The Irish struck first midway through the opening half, but Halle Craven tied the game just before the whistle. Zena Thompson scored the eventual winner six-and-half minutes into the second half and added an insurance goal with five minutes remaining. Goalkeeper Sydney Marcum blocked a penalty kick by Catholic.
