_______________________________________________________________________________________Set 1: 20-25
Waynesville keep it close 11-13 in the beginning of the set. Behind the back row defense of #2 Mary Henry and great offensive setting by #7 Fiona Hein and #12 Madie Dye the Tigers kept fighting for points. With great rallies and good net play from #32 Jayla Gettys who laid down 3 kills in the set, the score was 18-18 when Camdenton served up five unanswered points. The Volley Tigers would put two more points on the board but it would not be enough to edge out the visiting Lakers. 20-25.
Set 2: 24-26
The Tiger squad jumped out to an 8-4 lead with Madie Dye and #36 Truman Trower serving solid in the early going of the set. Camdenton exchanged points and caught up to the Waynesville squad 13-12. The lady Lakers extended the lead 14-18. The Waynesville team kept chipping away to come within striking distance at 23-24. The Lakers served strong down the stretch to take the set and the match 24-26. Jayla Gettys had three kills and Fiona Hein had one.
The Waynesville girls took a picture tonight to honor #8 Mallory Echelberry's grandmother who has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. We wanted to let her know that she is Tiger Tough and that she is in our thoughts! Go Tigers.
