Set 1:
Waynesville's #12 Madie Dye set the tone for the first set by serving up 5 straight points. School of the Osage struggled in serve receive as the lady tigers kept extending their lead with consistent serving. #2 Ramari Gardner and #18 Haley Michels both had one kill a piece during the first set win of 25-10.
Set 2:
School of the Osage was not about to go quietly. At 6-7 Dye served seven straight points only to see the lady Indians serve six straight back at the Tigers two servers later. The School of the Osage kept the game close and tied up seeing four different lead changes on side-outs in the set. The Indians made a surge late in the game tying the score for the fifth time at 23-23. The Tigers called a time-out but could not hold the Indians off seeing the game slip away at 24-26. #32 Jayla Gettys, #36 Truman Trower, Madie Dye all had 1 kill. #14 Mary Henry had 2 digs, #4 Aminah Rivera had 2 digs, and Haley Michels had 1 dig.
Set 3:
Once again, strong serving pushed the Tigers out to a strong lead. Heads up play at the net by Ramari Gardner--2 kills along with Jayla Gettys--1 kill, Truman Trower--1 kill, and #7 Fiona Hein-1 kill made it difficult for the Indians to get any type of rally or rhythm going. The Waynesville Tigers took the set 25-10 and the match. The seventh grade A team is 3-3 on the season. They will be hosting the Waynesville Middle School Tournament this Saturday, October 15. They will be playing Lebanon, Camdenton, and Eldon.
