Headlines.
For the 2nd time in school history and the 1st time since 1977 we won the Baseball District Championship. Coming into the tournament as the #5 seed we had an uphill battle to fight. On Saturday we jumped out early and didn't look back beating #4 Hillcrest 11-1. On Monday we came from behind in the 7th inning down 1-2 against #1 Lebanon to win 4-3. And finally, in the district championship we battled our way back in dramatic fashion to beat #2 Willard 5-4. We were down 0-4 headed to the last inning. As a matter of fact we were down to our last strike when Justen Leifer came through with a bases loaded clearing double that put us ahead.
Up next is #2 state ranked and defending state champs Columbia Rock Bridge. The game will be at their place on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00 PM. We hope to see everyone there.
