Week 3 of the regular season rolled out with the #10 ranked Lebanon Yellow Jackets coming to Waynesville. The Tigers battled hard but struggled to find a solid offensive rhythm, as they fell 35-0 to the Jackets Friday night.

The Jackets’ first possession was a short 2 play drive that was capped off by a long TD run down their sidelines. The Tigers followed up with a quick 3 and out possession on offense, before the Jackets went on a 13-play drive that ended with their second TD of the 1^st quarter. Lebanon took a 21-0 lead in the 2^nd quarter, and carried that score into the start of the 2^nd half.

The Tigers offense sputtered for most of the game, struggling to get into a true rhythm. The 2^nd quarter brought multiple opportunities for the Tiger offense to score on deep passes that were just out of reach or off the fingertips of Tiger receivers. The 2^nd half brought similar frustrations, as the Tiger offense turned the ball over on their first possession, stalled on 4^th down on their second possession, and added another turnover on their third possession. Lebanon would manage the clock and run it down to zeros as they sealed the Tigers fate and dropped them to (1-2) on the season.

Next up for Waynesville is a trip to Springfield for a week 4 matchup with the Hillcrest Hornets (0-3) Friday September 20, 2019. (7 pm kickoff)
