Biography:

Hello, my name is Alyssa Manning and this will be my 2nd year coaching throws at Waynesville Middle School. I began my track career in high school, as a 3-time league champion in the shot and disc, and state qualifier my senior year. I then went on to compete on the NCAA Division 1 indoor and outdoor track teams at UC Santa Barbara. From these experiences, I understand the significance of, and work to build foundational skills with student athletes at the middle school level that will carry them through the rest of their track careers.

Currently, I am beginning by 2nd year teaching 9th grade English Language Arts at Waynesville High School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in English and History, and my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas, Arlington.
