Waynesville Cross Country competed in the Ozark Conference Cross Country meet on Saturday, October 6. The Ozark Conference schools include Camdenton, Central, Glendale, Hillcrest, Kickapoo, Lebanon, Rolla, Waynesville and West Plains.

The Varsity Girls had an impressive 3rd place finish, behind West Plains and Kickapoo. Competing for the Lady Tigers was Madelyn Newsom, Tessa Scott, Katelyn VanBelkum, Makkah Mujahid, Jasmine Cassidy, Emery Oldenburger and Mackenzie McCurdy. The Varsity Boys consisted of Luke Morrison, Alejandro Malave, Victor Daos, Gabe Golinghorst, Keaton Noah, James Dukas and Evan Nitchman. The boys team placed 6th.

Earning first team All Conference honors was senior Luke Morrison who placed 7th and ran the hilly 5k in 18:07. Earning 2nd team All-Conference honors was junior Madelyn Newsom placing 13th with a time of 22:41. (see pic) "I am so proud of the girls team for placing 3rd at the conference meet!
