Our Wrestling team won the District Tournament this past weekend and 8 wrestlers are advancing to the State Wrestling Championships Thursday – Saturday.  In addition to our boys wrestling – our Wrestling Cheerleaders will be performing Thursday Evening at 4:45 to open the state tournament. 

The boys wrestled great this weekend – the following young men qualified:

106 – Charles McNeal – 2^nd Place

113 – Isaiah Johnson – District Champion

120 – Andrew Wallace – 3^rd Place

126 – Lemuel Johnson – District Champion

138 – Todd Magoon – 3^rd Place – 1^st Waynesville Wrestler to qualify for state all 4 years.

152 – David Hawk – 4^th Place

170 – Hunter Sadler – 4^th Place

285 – Jacob Semple – 2^nd Place

Our wrestlers and team begin their pursuit of a State Trophy Thursday – if you can get away – this is my favorite athletic event I cover all year.  There is always a great match to watch and the environment is electric.
