Boys Soccer Weightlifting

Coach Gramates is now leading the TPT program before and after school. I highly encourage all soccer players who are not in the Fitness & Conditioning class to attend TPT before or after school. 

The TPT schedule is :

Mon, Wed, Fri are our lifting days

Tues and Thur are our agility days

The room is open at 6am and from 2:50-3:50pm daily. TPT will be in the weight room in the main gym at the high school.

Boys Soccer practice for Monday August 7th will be held at the high school turf field from 3 to 5 pm. 

Please bring water and turf shoes.

Boys Soccer New:

Our game against Hillcrest on Tuesday will be varsity only at 6:15 pm at the high school turf. 

Boys varsity soccer will play in the brown division of the Kickapoo Shootout on 9/22 & 9/23. The bus will leave the high school at 3pm on Friday. The team is staying at the Residence Inn Springfield. The hotel's address 1303 East Kingsley Street Springfield Missouri 65804. 

Our games will all be at Kickapoo High school's grass fields.

Saturday 8am vs Popular Bluff     12pm vs Sikeston

Tonights soccer game will be played at the middle school turf. JV will start at 5pm and the Varsity game will follow. 

We will be turning in uniforms at the grass fields on Tuesday 10/31 after school till 4pm. If you can't make it please drop off your equipment at Coach Armstrong's office.

Today's soccer games vs. Springfield Catholic will be played at the middle school turf field. JV will start at 5pm and varsity to follow.

Today's soccer games against Smith-Cotton HS will be at the high school turf field. JV starts at 5pm and varisity will follow. 

The boys soccer teams (JV and Varsity) will not practice today (Wednesday 10/4). 

The bus will leave at 12:00 today for West Plains so everyone can have time to eat school lunch.

We will also have team pictures tomorrow at the field during practice. We are wearing white top, black shorts, white socks.

Boys soccer tryouts are today.

We will start at 2:30 in the high school weight room then move to the grass fields at 3:00 till 5:00.

You must have physical to tryout.

This will be the start of our three day tryout. Cuts will be made on Thursday.

Remember as mandated by the state of Missouri in order to be eligible and have the required practices to be eligible for the first game you must be at practice and not miss any starting with today. Late comers need to see Coach Armstrong as soon as possible.

Soccer open field information:

Open fields for high school Boys players Grades 9 to 12. Current 8th graders moving up to 9th grade in August is the youngest group. 

Open fields do not cost. They will be every Monday and Wednesday, starting on June 13th. We will not have open fields during the July 4th week. The last Open field will be July 18th. Each open field will be 3:30 to 5pm. 

In addition to open fields any player wanting to be on the team needs to attend one of the weight lifting times as often as they can. Weights are 8am and 2:30pm in June and 7am and 5:30pm in July (Monday through Friday.) Players should also try to fit the Fitness and Conditioning class into their schedule for the full year (if it fits with their graduation plan.) This is a new requirement this year. 

Boys soccer tryouts will start on August 6th. 3:30 to 5:00pm. A current physical is required to try out. All boys soccer activities will be at the grass fields by East Elementary School.

There is an opportunity for Military Children to win $100 shopping spree at the new Academy Sports store in Rolla. They will be selecting 10 HS players to participate. If interested see Coach Armstrong for an application. All applications must be turned in by March 22.
